Camporè ESTATE
We just want to make good wine in harmony with the nature that surrounds us
Camporè is a company founded in 2016 thanks to Maria Pia and Cristina Madaudo, two young entrepreneurs from the world of wine. Quality and ethical production are at the heart of this young and dynamic company, rich in history, attentive to the environment and the consumer. Daughters of art, who grew up among the rows of the family business, the Madaudo sisters listened to their grandfather’s secrets, gaining experience and expertise in the field. For some years they have decided to take root in the Tenuta di San Lorenzo, a historic residence of great importance.
THE CAMPORÈ ESTATE IS A PLACE FULL OF CHARM WHERE EVERYTHING REMEMBER PAST TIMES
The patronal house of the end of the 18th century with the annexed rural buildings, restored through a conservative process, now enters into visual and emotional harmony with the landscape, a sign of inseparable bond with nature and its colors, with people and with identity Etna.
THE CHURCH OF SAN LORENZO
The small noble church consecrated to San Lorenzo and San Maurizio (dating back to the eighteenth century) inside the estate has a great atmosphere, which has a small bronze bell on the outside, dated 1740, which was rung to call the peasants to gather.
THE PYRAMIDS OF ETNA
THE “Turrette”
The “turrette” as the locals call them are artifacts made up of piles of lava stone, stacked dry during the plowing and arrangement of the land for cultivation dating back to about 200 years ago. The function of these ancient buildings seems to be to eliminate the rocky matrix that emerged during the working of the land, therefore, an area of non-arable land was chosen where the pile of rocks found after the “stone removal” could be placed. Today, in full recall of the company philosophy, it is used to host exclusive events during which you can admire the beauty of the imposing “Muntagna” from above in the setting of the rows of the estate, while sipping a glass of our precious Etna.
